We anticipate a design as shown: http://img128.imageshack.us/my.php?image=heatsinktx7.jpg, with fins of height 2 cm and negligible thickness, in the arrangement show. We would like to maximize the area of the cooling fins in order to maximize cooling, but we do require that the board have an area of 40 cm2, with length between 8 and 11 cm, in order to accommodate the necessary circuits and fit in the prescribed space.
Can you please advise us on the dimensions of the board that would maximize the cooling provided by the fins?
