Somebody was talking about bail bonds recently and I realized I have no clue how they work. I always thought that the full bail amount had to be paid to get somebody out of jail, but if it's only a percentage, why do people use professional bail bondsman? Why not just pay the percentage directly to the courts yourself? Can anyone tell m... more
