 | A: It depends on what kind of person you are. If you stay up late at night and have time to hold them for 30 minutes each night and have the money to feed them, then yes they're awesome.
They are not fully domesticated animals and you have to earn their love and trust. Holding them for 30 minutes a night (they're nocturnal) will get them more comfortable with you and get you more comfortable with them for those times when they suddenly curl into a ball.
Also their diet is not the cheapest (and they aren't that cheap to buy either) and sometimes a little gross. They're insectivores so you should feed them some insects you get from a petstore.
Plus most don't like really loud noises and they need to be warm so if you keep your place at 60 in the winter to keep the heating bills down, then please don't get one, or get a space heater for the hedgie's room.
